Why do we Garden?

Is it born within us?
Is it for the sense of accomplishment?
Or, the simplistic joy of the journey from seed to soil to harvest

Perhaps this quotation says it best

I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.”
John Burroughs

We hope you spend the upcoming weekend having your senses put in order and finding your "nature".

Blooming Today

June is such a great month for blooming perennials, and the Campanula really shines on these overcast days.
Campanula 'Samantha' is such a happy flower,

the periwinkle cup shaped blooms fill this 8" plant, and will rebloom if diligent in your deadheading

Busy Spring

May seems to be the month most active for gardeners.
We make lists, clean tools, sharpen blades and get our hands dirty after months of short days and cold nights.
I don't say this lightly, but felt Winter would never leave us.

Have you started your own tomato plants this year?
Tired of the same old geranium planter?
Looking for the unique perennial to add to your border?
We would love to hear what you did in the month of May.

This is our 22nd year on our wee patch of downtown Berrien Springs and we have new and exciting things to share with you!
So stop by soon, browse our newest plants, relax by the water garden, pick out a new koi, or just chat awhile!

Our Summer Hours:
